BIG SANDY, Texas—The U.S. Postal Service presented the Corporate Business Achievement Award to Strategic Fulfillment Group at the National Postal Forum in San Diego this past month.

SFG is a national marketing services and fulfillment company based in Big Sandy, Texas.

This prestigious award is one of three ‘best in class’ awards, recognizing business partners who use postal products and services to deliver value and to help strengthen and grow their businesses. Winners of this award are handpicked by officers of the U.S. Postal Service.

Along with SFG, this year’s winners included companies such as Dish Network, eBay, GE, Office Depot, State Farm and Grainger.

Accepting the award for SFG was Tony Pytlak, president/COO.

“The mail remains an integral part of the marketing mix,” said Pytlak. “Optimizing the list of consumer addresses makes a tremendous difference in the profitability of a mailing campaign–whether direct mail, invoices, renewals, or other communications. SFG’s use of U.S. Postal Service products at several points in our systems and processes gives our partners the best quality mailing process available, significantly increasing the successes of every marketing campaign.”

SFG’s single, real-time relational database system is centered on the single customer record at its core, unifying all customer data across all business models in one place. This comprehensive view of the customer allows SFG’s partners to leverage their customers’ life cycles to make better informed marketing decisions.

With SFG’s partners’ customer records stored in one location, all their mailing lists are updated automatically, optimizing Postal Service services such as Move Update and reducing Undeliverable as Addressed (UAA) mail. SFG’s suite of list rental and enhanced merge/purge services also utilizes Postal Service products such as the National Change of Address (NCOA) on a weekly basis to reduce mailer costs and increase responses.

Ellis Burgoyne, USPS Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President, presented SFG with the award. “We are pleased to recognize and honor SFG for their innovation, creativity and leadership,” said Burgoyne.

“As business partners, many enhancements developed by SFG provided a win-win for both companies. SFG is able to provide their clients with excellent customer lists and marketing data, while the USPS offers excellent delivery.”
